Dr. Bobak Salami graduated from UCSD in 1994 with bachelor's degree in biochemistry. He then moved to Boston where he earned his medical degree at Tufts University (1998). He went on to train in Internal Medicine at University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Subsequently, he returned to California and completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA (2005). During his training at UCLA he became interested in Nuclear Cardiology and currently is board certified in both Cardiovascular Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. He is the director of the nuclear stress lab at SDH&V.
Dr. Salami and his wife live with their two children in San Diego. He enjoys outdoor activities and travelling.
